This interior design embraces “Haipai’s East-West Sonata”—Haipai being Shanghai’s distinctive cosmopolitan fusion of Eastern and Western cultures—synthesizing Baroque architecture with Art Deco vocabulary, thereby interweaving classical elegance and contemporary luxury into a singular spatial language. Upon entry, the mosaic flooring immediately draws inspiration from the Eiffel Tower’s iconic structural beauty, thoughtfully employing monochrome geometry to intensify spatial depth while manifesting the classical pursuit of order and harmony.
Complementing this foundation, the wall’s vaulted forms derive from European arcade columns, creating a vertical dialogue with the horizontal plane below. Here, leather and metal contrasts deliberately fuse amid the interplay of light and shadow, gradually revealing this aesthetic’s understated opulence. Together, these carefully orchestrated elements initiate the prelude to homecoming ritual—a moment where architectural grandeur meets intimate welcome, inviting inhabitants to cross the threshold from the urban pulse into their personal sanctuary.

 
The living and dining areas orchestrate visual focal points through three distinctive materials: Bulgari purple, cosmic gold, and gradient copper—each contributing its unique character to the spatial composition. Among these, purple embodies nobility and prosperity, establishing a regal foundation for the space. Meanwhile, luxury stone with black-gold veining sparkles like celestial bodies scattered across the cosmos, creating moments of visual intrigue. These rich material expressions are further complemented by metal and leather furnishings that manifest contemporary craftsmanship, grounding the space in modern sophistication. Beyond material richness, the spatial lines themselves flow with clean fluidity, thoughtfully integrating Shikumen’s characteristic arched elements to perpetuate Shanghai’s layered urban narrative. This architectural gesture bridges past and present, anchoring the contemporary interior within its cultural context.
Illuminating this carefully composed realm, circular chandeliers descend like luminous orbits, while soft wall sconces provide ambient warmth along the periphery. At the heart of this convivial space, the translucent stone bar counter becomes a luminous focal point, emanating soft luminescence that transforms throughout the day. Here, light and shadow engage in perpetual dialogue, flowing gracefully through geometric ornament while intensifying the spatial stratification that gives the room its dynamic depth. This sophisticated interplay extends to the material palette itself.
