中海雲麓書院，位於中國廣東省東莞鳳崗東部，交通路網成熟，距深圳中心城區40分鐘車程。依山傍水，緊鄰山麓，擁有豐富的自然生態景觀。客戶希望在此建造一座具有嶺南文化氣息的山水居所，營造出回歸山水書香的生活境界。

本案為住宅項目，由別墅區和高層區組成，設計主體為兩套別墅合拼設計，在項目開放時作為售樓處，用於接待和辦公。
項目共四層，地上地下各兩層。充分利用負一層原有庭院，將參觀入口由一層移至負一層，避免原方案由一樓進入售樓處，造成上下分流的不合理參觀動線，同時設計層層遞進的嶺南廊道景觀，“輕風拂面、竹林瑟瑟”，提前營造空間氛圍，轉換心境。
一層以洽談空間為主，設置VIP洽談區、品茗區、水吧、私宴等功能，窗外庭院將嶺南園林獨有的半畝方塘引入其中，“曲橋幽靜、漣漪蕩漾”；
二層則為辦公空間；負一層為接待空間，包含接待處、沙盤區、品茗區、奏琴區及影音室等功能；負二層設有博物館、國學講堂與冥想空間，並通過下沉式景觀庭院將自然光引入室內。

設計師提煉嶺南園林獨有的青磚灰瓦元素於室內，並將樑柱結構與坡屋頂的中式元素重新組合，形成新的空間元素運用至室內天花及空間各個部分，擺脫傳統書櫃形式提煉竹簡中的元素運用到空間，使得格柵具有旋轉、推拉功能，有效控制光照率，通過各種元素結合運用，營造專屬於嶺南書院獨有的文人氛圍。

山色晴嵐，水氣氤氳，城廊屹立其間之美。每一組院落、每一塊石碑、每一枚磚瓦、每一支風荷，都閃爍著時光淬煉的人文精神，弦歌不絕，學脈延綿。

“THE PIEDMONT”, which is located in Dongguan city, Guangdong province, China, covers a far and mature transportation network, near to Shenzhen’s downtown only around 40 minutes’ driving time. The residence which is near the mountain and by the river, shares the abundant natural biological scenery.  Clients hope to build a Landscape residence with traditional Culture of Southern China, to create a mental living. That is, back to the mountain, river, book and nature.

The project belongs to the residence type, comprises of villa zone and upper zone.  The design main body is two sets of villa design. During the project opening period, it is as the sales office, as the reception and business centre. There are four floors together, with separately 2 floors on both ground and underground.
Fully using the original yard of the negative layer, the designer removes the visit entry from base ground to the negative layer, so as to avoid entering the sales area through the base ground designed by the previous plan. Of which, unreasonable visit route could be avoided. And adopt progressive corridor landscape of Lingnan culture, could create a natural atmosphere on advance, leading to a feeling of light wind blowing the face.
The first floor is dominated by negotiation space, and build VIP negotiation area, tea area, water bar, The private banquet area…The window bring the unique  “Banmu Pond” of Lingnan garden into the interior, showing the a peaceful and secluded place with some vivid ripples spread.
The second floor is made for business function. The minor floor is for reception space, including reception centre, sand area, tea area, music playing area as well as video area. There are museum, lecture hall of traditional Chinese Culture and meditation space in the minor second floor, and through sink-style courtyard to bring the natural light into the interior space.

The designer extract and purify the special  black bricks and grey tiles elements owned by Lingnan landscape only, and recombine the beam column construction and Chinese element of sloping roof, so that the bright and new space element could be fully used from the interior ceiling to the whole parts. Getting rid of the traditional bookshelf extracted by bamboo, adding the rotate and push-and-pull function of the grille effectively controls the illumination ratio. Through various elements combination usage to create the unique literary atmosphere specially owned by Lingnan Institutes.

Clear sun shines the mountains, with the water surrounds, the whole residence stands in the centre. Every yard, every stone  tablet, every tile, every Lotus, all shines out with great brilliancy of time refinement, songs never stop and let cultural inheritance.
