Design One Lighting and Duggal Visual Solutions created an unparalleled luxury experience for a series of pop-up shops for Van Cleef & Arpels, increasing their presence in gallerias and malls across North America. At first glance, two bold horizontal lines of light surrounding the pop-up draw guests toward the structure, highlighting motifs of spring forests. As they step inside, guests enter an immersive environment of delicacy and grandeur, showcasing Van Cleef & Arpel’s watch and jewelry collections in vitrines with custom-engineered micro stem lights to illuminate each piece without glare. Around the entire pop-up, thematic lighting of each column differentiates the watches and jewelry into bright day wear and nuanced evening wear sections. Looking up, bespoke glass leaves fill the structure’s open ceiling, their quality and thickness creating a welcoming feeling below a forested canopy while subduing the unsavory mall lighting from above. Rounding out the experience are cleverly engineered miniature spotlights which call attention to tableaus of Van Cleef & Arpel’s history and didactics.
