住所是居住者對自身生活哲學的體現，居住空間則是作為情感載體的存在，生活的軌跡就如同樂譜的音符，在此場所中並沒有單一主角的駐足，而是所有的音符一同奏出只屬於此處的協奏曲。

在設計上盡可能的將量體簡化，在整個空間裡使用較為自然與中性的材質調和，讓所有的物件融入其中，各種經典家具與居住者在此處的生活軌跡交互重疊，使其成為家中成員一般的存在。並非使用強硬介入的設計手法去探究空間存在的本質，而是思考在都心的高層大樓中，要如何以使用者主觀的角度回歸居住空間中最基本的日常，設計出以舒適生活為本質的空間。

平面配置上可以看出由外玄關入口、中央量體所切割出來的兩側對稱區域，而從玄關入口進門迎面而來的是樹齡已超過兩世紀的銀葉橄欖，在橄欖樹左右延伸動線的兩端則是完全的相異性質的居住與公共空間，同時與公共空間形似天平型態的主牆及天花都在暗示著整體空間的概念核心－平衡，追求著視覺上的平衡、公與私的平衡、動與靜的平衡、以及在繁忙的都市中覓尋舒適生活場域與空間哲學的平衡。

「住宅設計」是將每個生活的大小環節無痕地納入規劃當中。本案重視用戶體驗，以符合使用者生活習慣的設計，帶給屋主最大的便利性。從規劃開放式的公領域格局、流暢的動線走向，提供聚會時所需的寬敞空間，再到設置兼具書架與展示架功能的屏風，以及融入牆面的頂天櫃設計，因應居者海量的收納需求。藉此，築構出舒適、美觀又實用的生活環境，實現居者對「家」的嚮往。

本案的獨特之處在於對「平衡」的講究，從公、私領域的格局配置便已跳脫傳統住宅的制式化設定。公共空間與私人起居空間藉由「兩側對稱」的形式從空間中央做劃分，延伸出左、右兩個方向的動線，左側路線將通往公領域，而右側路線則是通往私領域，可避免傳統住宅若要前往臥室還需經過公領域的窘境。藉此，能讓兩區使用者在活動時，彼此間不會相互干擾。

自1960年代起，全球環保浪潮興起，環保相關的議題和觀念逐漸受到重視，時至今日，環保已是空間設計中不可或缺的一環。在案件規劃中，特地於主要的活動空間配置大面落地窗，以此滿足住戶在白天對光源的需求，從而減少人工照明的使用頻率，同時搭配省電LED燈的設置，能更加提升節能減碳的效果，以及促進永續發展的實現。

A person’s residence is a reflection of their life philosophy, and the living space serves as a container of emotions. Life’s journey is like a musical score, where no individual note is static, but all the notes come together to create a unique concerto that belongs exclusively to that place.

The spatial design aims to simplify the volume as much as possible, using natural and neutral materials that harmonize with the atmosphere. All objects are integrated into the space, and classic furniture complements the residents’ lives and makes them feel like part of the family. Rather than using forceful design techniques to explore the nature of the space, we focused on returning to the basics of daily life from the user’s perspective. We aimed to design a comfortable living space in a high-rise building in the city center.

The spatial layout is divided into two symmetrical areas, separated by an outer entrance and a central volume. As you enter, a silver-leafed olive tree that has been there for over two centuries welcomes you. The living and public spaces are located at opposite ends of the olive tree, each having a different nature. The main wall and ceiling are shaped like a scale and have a similar design to the public space. This all implies the core concept of balance. The overall spatial philosophy seeks to balance the visual and public-private, dynamic and static, and to create a comfortable living space in the busy urban area.

Residential design aims to plan every detail of daily life meticulously, creating a functional living space tailored to the homeowner’s lifestyle. This project prioritizes user experience, providing maximum convenience for the residents. The design seamlessly integrates open public spaces and ensures smooth circulation for an open, spacious environment, perfect for gatherings. Screens double up as bookshelves and display shelves, and overhead cabinets blend into walls to cater to residents’ storage needs. The result is an aesthetically pleasing living space that feels like “home.” 

The uniqueness of this project lies in its balance. Unlike traditional residential systems, this project emphasizes the configuration of public and private areas to ensure balance. The public and private living spaces are separated from the center of the space by “two-side symmetry,” extending left and right. The left side leads to the shared living area, while the right leads to the private one. This avoids the traditional dilemma of passing through the public area to reach the bedroom. Therefore, users of both areas can engage in their activities without interfering with each other.

Since the 1960s, there has been a global wave of environmental protection, wherein environmental issues and concepts have been gradually emphasized. Nowadays, environmental protection has become an indispensable part of spatial design. In case planning, large floor-to-ceiling windows are installed in the main activity space to meet the residents’ demand for natural light during the daytime. This reduces the need for electric lighting while installing energy-saving LED lights enhances the effect of energy-saving and carbon reduction. This also promotes the realization of sustainable development.
